Marketing & Sustainability Program Sessional (Teaching Position)

Department of Management & Organizational Studies

Huron is unique to post-secondary institutions in Canada. With the aim to redefine Liberal Arts education, Huron is creating a university experience unlike any other that prioritizes ethical leadership and community engagement, as much as the pursuit of academic achievement.

As the founding institution of Western University, since 1863, Huron has remained strategically small to best serve the needs of its students.  We provide an elite, yet accessible, education, because every student with the passion and work ethic to positively change our world deserves to access the knowledge to understand it and the skills to shape it. Huron’s mission is to develop Leaders with Heart from all backgrounds and foster a vibrant and inclusive community and prepare students to be engaged citizens who transform the sectors they work within. Our commitment to providing the best-possible Liberal Arts education means students have many unique opportunities to enrich their learning experiences.

The Department of Management & Organizational Studies (MOS) at Huron invites applications for a full-time, one-year Program Sessional position to teach courses in the Marketing & Sustainability module. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2024. The position may be renewed for a period up to 3 years following a one-year review. The successful applicant would be eligible for benefits, and the ability to engage in departmental and university service, commensurate to the position. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Marketing & Sustainability module is designed to train students on helping organizations make profitable and evidence-based marketing decisions that also have a positive long-term impact on societal and environmental welfare. These objectives are consistent with the mandate of the Huron BMOS program to teach students how to make evidence-based decisions leading to long-term future success. They are also consistent with the broader Huron mission of developing socially conscious leaders with heart.

The successful applicant would be required to teach 3.0 undergraduate courses in the Marketing & Sustainability module per year. Specifically, the Program Sessional would teach in-person sections from the following courses in the 2024-2025 academic year:
