RBC Community Innovation Bootcamp

The RBC Innovation Bootcamp is a three-day virtual bootcamp designed for arts, social science and business students.  This is an opportunity for you to get experience solving real-world problems for a local organization.

What is the RBC Innovation Bootcamp?

You will be placed into teams of five and assigned a challenge that needs an innovative solution. Together, your team will come up with ideas to solve the problems and pitch your ideas to a panel of judges. The team that comes up with the best idea takes home $2,500.

Past challenges include:

  • How might we use our newly developed online engagement to help reach more people and address our program waitlists?
  • How might we develop a strategy to effectively participate in policy discussions around food literacy in schools?
  • How might we develop a marketing and communications strategy that leads to increased fundraising and donor support?

The RBC Community Innovation Bootcamp is hosted twice per year – once in the Fall and once in the Spring.
The bootcamp requires students to participate for the entirety of the schedule below:

Friday – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturday – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sunday – 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Applications for RBC Innovation Bootcamp will be posted on HuronConnect.

All students who participate in the bootcamp will be provided with a Digital Badge, endorsed by RBC, to include on their LinkedIn account and on their resume. The winning team of students at the end of the week receives a $2500 prize.
