TIME TO PREPARE FOR HURON UNIVERSITY

Congratulations on joining Huron! Now that you have accepted your offer, it is time to prepare for your arrival at our campus. There are a few key steps to complete before starting in September, and you’re in the right place. This page is for our International Students (Study Permits)

International Student Checklist

March – May

  • Activate Your Western Identity ASAP and check regularly – this is where you’ll receive important communications from Huron
  • Ensure your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is set up and you can access your UWO Email Address
  • Apply for your Study Permit by May 15th, 2026
  • Submit your Mandatory International Student Arrival Plan. Information will be sent to your UWO email in June 2026
  • Apply for Residence or start searching for Off-Campus Housing (PDF)
  • Book flight to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) arriving Monday August 31st, 2026 to take advantage of our Airport Pick Up Program
  • Submit any needed documentation by June 1st, 2026 to be considered for Domestic Tuition fees if eligible
  • Follow @huronstudentlife on Instagram to stay up to date!

  • Purchase Parking Pass if needed
  • Join Residence Teams Group
  • Review your automatically enrolled Health Insurance Plan
  • Find out your residence building assignment (you’ll get an email to your name@uwo.ca email address)
  • There are three mandatory training modules that all incoming Huron students must complete:
  1. Undressing Consent: an interactive online seminar. Failure to complete this training in advance will impact your access to Orientation Week activities.
  2. Consent 101: a self-directed online module with a quiz. This module must be completed by September 9, 2026.
  3. Academic Integrity: a self-directed online module with a quiz. This module must be completed by September 9, 2026.

Airport Pick Up Day!

Our team looks forward to meeting all our new students at Toronto Pearson Airport and providing support and transportation back to Huron’s Campus. Be sure to arrive on August 31st to participate in this exciting opportunity.
