Equity Deserving Groups:

Through Huron’s holistic approach to admissions, we review supplemental information and admit students based on a variety of contributing factors, not just their academic transcript. If you have experienced adversity and would like to share with the Admissions Office circumstances that have affected your academic performance, please let us know by completing the Special Consideration Profile.

Mature Students:

Applicants who do not meet the minimum academic requirements for admission to the university may be eligible for consideration as a mature student. Qualifying applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Have no (other) academic basis of admission
  • Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Not have been in full-time attendance at an educational institution in the past 4 years.

Mature Student applicants will need to submit a formal application to the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) as well as complete the Mature Student Profile for consideration.

Returning Students:

Students who have taken a leave from Huron and wish to return to their studies, provided they remained in good academic standing, may contact Academic Advising to request reactivation of their registration. If you have attended another post-secondary institution since your time at Huron, you may be required to submit a formal application to the Admissions Office.

Applicants seeking readmission to Huron following withdrawal for unsatisfactory academic standing will need to complete a regular application through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre. In addition to the formal application, applicants will need to submit their completed Reconsideration of Admission form.

If granted readmission, you may register for a session that commences no earlier than one calendar year (12 months) from the time of withdrawal.

Please Note: Readmission is not guaranteed.
