2026 Alumni Achievement Awards
The Alumni Achievement Awards celebrate graduates whose leadership, excellence, and service leave a lasting impact in their fields and communities. Through Huron University’s flagship annual awards program, we seek to recognize the hallmark achievements that define a Huron education, celebrate impact, and inspire the next generation of Leaders with Heart.
Why Nominate?
The incredible accomplishments of Huron alumni around the world provide an opportunity to celebrate one another and those that reflect the very best of Huron. Your insight, knowledge, and appreciation of fellow alumni achievements are key to recognizing the best of the best.
Nominate an alum who inspires you or invite an employer or colleague to do so. Self-nominations are also encouraged!
Available Awards
Beverley Paterson Wood Award for Volunteer Service to Huron: For volunteer service to Huron University and significant contributions to advancing Huron’s mission. This Award is named for the late Beverley Paterson Wood, Class of 1964 and a loyal volunteer leader.
Emerging Leader Award: For outstanding professional achievement, community service, or volunteer contribution to Huron University. (Available for graduates who are 35 years of age or younger AND for those who graduated within the last 15 years.)
Alumni Award of Distinction: Recognizes outstanding achievement in a professional field or exceptional community volunteer service, enriching the lives of others through generous gifts of time and talent.
Eligibility
All members of the Huron alumni association are eligible, except for:
- Current Huron Alumni Association Directors
- Current Board of Governors members
- Current staff and faculty members
Nomination Process
The deadline for consideration is Wednesday, April 15th at 5:00pm EST. Nominations received after that date may be considered for the following year. The Alumni Awards will be presented annually before the end of the 2026 calendar year.
How to Nominate
Ready to nominate a deserving alum? Fill out an online nomination form to submit your candidate(s). All submissions will be kept confidential. *Please note- once a nominee has been submitted for consideration, they will be invited to provide additional information for the committee’s review. Nominators will be contacted if their candidate is chosen as an award recipient. Thank-you!
Before you get started, here’s a friendly reminder: only one submission per candidate will be considered. Sending multiple nominations for the same person won’t give them an extra edge! Remember, we’re all about quality over quantity. So, put your best foot forward and make your nomination count!
