Where can I find my statement?

Student statements can be found on the Huron Finance Portal as enrolment continues.

  • Summer statements are available first week of May.
  • Fall/Winter statements are available from mid-July.

Tuition and residence fees (if applicable) are included in one statement. Students are notified via their uwo email once their statement is updated.

I have questions regarding my statement. Who can I contact?

Please contact Ilonka Eremieva at studentbilling@huron.uwo.ca or 519-438-7224 ext. 861, A107-B.

How can I pay for my tuition?

Acceptable payment methods are credit card (VISA and MasterCard only through the Finance portal), EFT, or wire transfer. More information can be found here.

Payments can be made in full or instalments and will be applied to student accounts within 3-5 business days from the time they are received.

Why can’t I see my scholarship?

If your scholarship has been confirmed, it will be applied to the student’s second instalment by October.

I have questions regarding Scholarships / Financial Aid / OSAP / Work study / Awards. Who can I contact?

For questions on financial aid, please contact Dusan Stepancev at financial.aid@huron.uwo.ca or W40. Financial aid will automatically be applied to student accounts. For more information, please click here.

Where can I get confirmation of enrollment for my RESP, visa application or other official purpose?

Please contact Huron’s registrar’s office in person at the Student Supports Services area room W44 or via email huronasc@uwo.ca.

You can also order one online through Student Center under the View and Order Documents tile > Order Official Western Letter> Add a request. Note that this option requires payment.

Which fees can I opt out of?

As of July 1, students can opt out of the following fees:

  • USC Health, Dental and Virtual Doctor Plan
  • USC Orientation Week
  • Tenant’s Insurance

Note: For full time students, LTC Bus pass is mandatory.

Credits for all opt outs will be applied in October.

Please see the Ancillary Fee Information page for more details.

Can I get a refund if I withdraw from courses, residence and or decline my offer of admission?

Course withdrawals are prorated based on the withdrawal date. Students wishing to withdraw from a course must visit/contact an Academic Advisor to complete the appropriate Change of Status/Withdrawal Form or an Add/Drop Form as soon as possible.

Residence withdrawals are prorated based on the official move out date. Please reach out to housing@huron.uwo.ca to initiate your request.

Admission deposit will only be refunded in the event of a study permit rejection from the Government of Canada. Proof of study permit rejection is required to receive a refund.

Residence deposit will only be refunded to students if Huron is not able to provide a space on campus.

All refund requests will be processed in November. Refunds are processed through e-transfer, cheque or wire transfer.

Please visit the Withdrawals and Refunds page for more information.

How do I get my tuition tax receipt (T2202A) and rent receipt?

Tuition tax receipts are available by the last day of February each year, following the previous tax year end.

T2202s are available on your Western Student Center under Finances=> Tax Receipts => My T2202. For further help with access to your account or tax slip, contact regtax@uwo.ca. If you have any issues with the amount on your T2202, contact studentbilling@huron.uwo.ca.

T4As are mailed out to the address on your Huron Statement. For inquiries contact Chelsea Mitchell at hurpay@uwo.ca or phone 519.438.7224, ext. 858.

What happens if I do not pay my tuition fees?

If you do not pay your tuition fees, late fees will be applied, and your account will be sealed. This means you will be unable to change your courses, retrieve your grades, apply for the next academic year, get a letter from the registrar’s office, receive official transcripts, or graduate. Huron reserves the right to de-register students from courses for non-payment. Students will not be reinstated into courses until payment is made in full. Please note that there is no guarantee that you will be able re-enroll in a course once deregistration has occurred. Unpaid accounts will ultimately be sent to a collection agency.

Why can’t you contact my parents/guardian regarding my account, or can my parents receive my financial information?

Privacy legislation prevents Universities from contacting a third party. Students should complete and sign a Release of Information form to allow financial information to be discussed with a supporting individual (parent, guardian, etc.). Please submit your signed form to studentbilling@huron.uwo.ca.
