LTh Instructor

Ordained in 1996, Darcey has served his entire ordained life in the Diocese of Niagara, primarily in Oakville.  After fifteen years of parish ministry, he noticed that the context of ministry had changed, so he went back to school, specifically looking at the area of evangelism and mission for today’s society, looking at how mission is practiced in a postmodern and multicultural context with a doctoral thesis titled “Evangelism in the Emerging Ecumenical Paradigm.”  He looks forward to exploring this area with students as, together, they examine mission in the 21st century and how they can appropriately practice mission within their ministry context.

Presently, he serves at Huron University College, Western University, and Trinity College, University of Toronto as an Instructor and Adjunct Faculty member specializing in mission.  Additionally, he is co-host of Vision TV’s long-running program “Door of Hope”.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, the cottage, and recreational hockey.
