Associate Professor, French

Andrea King, PhD
My teaching aims to connect students with their creative and critical instincts while helping them hone their French language skills. In my classes, we break down the barriers between creative and critical methods in order to better engage with and understand the world and contribute meaningfully to it.

Andrea King (PhD, Queen’s University) is an Associate Professor of French at Huron and a creative writer. Her novel Spectral Living was published by The University of Calgary Press in 2021 and her short fiction has appeared in Geist magazine. She is the author of several articles on haunting in Québec and Canadian literature and has also written on the comics of Michel Rabagliati and Sarah Leavitt. Dr. King aims to help all her students live and study creatively.
