Huron Announces Appointment of New VP, Academic
LONDON, ON - Huron is pleased to announce that Dr. Dan Smith has been appointed as the university’s new Vice President, Academic and will continue his duties as Dean, Theology, and Acting Dean, FASS.
“Dr. Smith has been a valued member of the Huron leadership team for over seven years and has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to advancing the mission of the university, and the quality of education, research, and student success,” says Huron President Dr. Barry Craig. “We are confident that Dr. Smith's experience, vision, and commitment to our institutional and academic mission will continue to positively shape the future of our institution.”
Dr. Smith holds a Ph.D. from the University of St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto and has been a faculty member at Huron since 2004.
As Vice President, Academic, Dr. Smith will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to further strengthen Huron’s academic mission and foster an environment of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
