London, ON – Huron University College and the Huron Alumni Association are proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Alumni Achievement Awards. The awards recognize alumni whose leadership, excellence, and service reflect the values of a Huron education and who have created a lasting impact in their fields and communities. Through this flagship annual program, we celebrate their achievements while inspiring the next generation of Leaders with Heart.
This year’s recipients have distinguished themselves through exceptional professional accomplishments, community leadership, and a deep commitment to serving others. Their achievements demonstrate the many ways Huron alumni are continuing to create meaningful impact in their communities and around the world.
2026 Award Recipients:

Their commitment to excellence, along with their generosity toward others, and their lasting connection to Huron serve as an inspiration to our students and alumni.”
To recognize this year’s recipients and bring alumni together in celebration, Huron will host an Alumni Reception and Awards Celebration on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Toronto’s El Mocambo. Known for its rich history, energy, and iconic stage, El Mocambo provides a unique backdrop for an evening dedicated to celebrating Huron’s Leaders with Heart. The event will bring together alumni from across generations for a night of recognition and celebration, honouring those whose accomplishments reflect the very best of a Huron education.

Meigan Terry ’98
Executive Vice President & Chief Global Corporate & Public Affairs Officer, Scotiabank
Meigan Terry receives the 2026 Alumni Award of Distinction in recognition of her outstanding leadership and dedication to creating positive social impact. Through her leadership of Scotiabank’s sustainability, community investment, and corporate affairs initiatives, she has helped drive meaningful change for individuals and communities across Canada. Her professional accomplishments, combined with her commitment to using her influence and expertise to benefit others, exemplify the leadership and dedication to service this award celebrates.

Beverley Paterson Wood Award for

Sandra Datars Bere ’87
City Manager, City of London
Sandra Datars Bere is recognized for her extraordinary dedication to Huron and its students. Through decades of volunteer leadership, alumni engagement, mentorship, advocacy, and philanthropy, she has strengthened the alumni community and created lasting opportunities for students. Her unwavering commitment to Huron has helped advance the university’s mission and foster a culture of connection and belonging. Her contributions reflect the very spirit of volunteerism and generosity celebrated by this award. Emerging Leader Award
Cam Stajer ’14
Founder & CEO, Kala Therapy
Cam Stajer is recognized for his exceptional entrepreneurial leadership and innovation. Through the founding and growth of Kala Therapy, he has transformed an ambitious vision into a thriving company that is expanding access to wellness technology across North America. His determination, creativity, and commitment to improving the lives of others have established him as a rising leader whose influence extends well beyond his industry.

Lisa Jones Keenan is the Vice President of Sales at Xplornet Communications, the largest rural fixed wireless broadband service provider in Canada. 
Leigh Allen is the AVP, Global Strategic Research, Reinsurance Group of America Inc., one of the world’s largest global life and reinsurance companies.
Yola Ventresca is a Managing Partner, Lerners LLP, Secretary of Huron’s Board of Governors and a Huron Class of ’02 alumni. Selected as one of Canada’s “Best Lawyers,” she is passionate about the value of Liberal Arts in helping students succeed in their careers.
Susan Farrow is an Assistant Professor in The Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and a Founding Partner and Co-Director of The Toronto Institute of Group Studies, an organization offering certified training and education in group leadership.
Frank Holmes is CEO and Chief Investment Officer of U.S. Global Investors, as well as a business commentator, philanthropist and Huron Class of ‘78 alumnus. Holmes also serves as the Executive Chairman of HIVE Blockchain Technologies, the first cryptocurrency mining company to go public in 2017.
Kelly Meighen is an experienced philanthropist and volunteer. In her role as president of the T.R. Meighen Family Foundation, she has created a legacy of volunteerism and philanthropic giving in the areas of youth mental health advocacy, environmental conservation and cultural vibrancy.
Ranjita is Executive Chair of the Oxford Global Partnership, advising investors, businesses, family offices and entrepreneurs on sustainable, inclusive and responsible value creation. A Business Fellow at Oxford University’s Smith School, Ranjita engages with companies on pursuing value with values, and teaches a postgraduate “Essentials of ESG & DEI” course.
Caleb Hayhoe is the Founder & Chairman of Flowerdale Group and a Huron Class of ’85 Alumnus. Flowerdale Group is a Hong Kong based family office with a global investment outlook across public markets, real estate and private investment. Hayhoe previously spent over ten years building a global sourcing business together with an exceptional team, and remains committed to entrepreneurialism and helping great ideas become sustainable companies.
