Community History and Collaborative Research: A Conversation with the Wendat/Wandat Women’s Advisory Council

Building upon conversations over the fall semester in their course Confronting Colonialism – which looked at the name Huron through the lens of Wendat/Wandat histoires and settler colonialism – this student-led event brings together members of the Wendat/Wandat Women’s Advisory Council: Catherine Tàmmaro (Wyandot of Anderdon Nation), Judy Manthe (Wyandot Nation of Kansas), Sallie Andrews (Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma) and Linda Sioui (Huron-Wendat Nation) as well as historian Kathryn Labelle (University of Saskatchewan) to discuss their collaborative approach to historical research about Wendat/Wandat histories and the book Daughters of Aataentsic.
