DO BOOKS STILL MATTER IN A GLOBAL LIBERAL ARTS EDUCATION?
Join us for a panel discussion with faculty members from our Global Great Books program as we explore how 21st century global education should not mean discarding print books as a medium for learning.
Meet the Panelists
Dr. Sara MacDonald is a professor of political philosophy, with a particular interest in ancient philosophy as well as politics, literature and film. She has published articles and books on Schitt’s Creek, the television series, Mad Med, and the films of the Coen brothers.
Dr. Peter Sabo specializes in literary reading of the Bible, using insight from critical theory, particularly structuralist, deconstruction, and feminist theory. He has been teaching Global Great Books at Huron for the last two years.
A complimentary buffet lunch will be available for you to enjoy while we livestream the football game directly into Huron’s Medline Student Commons, while also hosting a reunion social. The Beaver Dam bar will be open for drink purchases.
