SUMMARY:Religion & Theology Speaker Series: Ethical Leadership with an Intercultural Heart
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Thursday, March 27th, in the Huron Library as we welcome Dr. Michelle Voss, who will be giving a free public lecture on envisioning ethical leadership in a global world.\nAs communities are made visible and divisible by many religious and cultural differences today, it is imperative to develop an intercultural sensitivity into how we imagine leaders with a heart committed to ethical and moral principles. Dr. Voss will reflect on her rich experience as a scholar of religious studies to share how our core values, rooted in respect, trust, and solidarity, can help foster our future agents of social and political change.\nA student Q&A will follow, moderated by Dr. Joshua Samuel (Huron University).\nMichelle Voss is a Professor of Theology at Emmanuel College in the Toronto School of Theology. An expert in comparative theology with a focus on Christian and Hindu contexts, she has written widely about aesthetics, gender and embodiment, and religious pluralism. This lecture arises from her current research on the intersections between the interfaith movement, antiracism, and interculturality, which is supported by the McGeachy Senior Scholarship from the United Church of Canada Foundation.\n
