SUMMARY:Canadian Club of London: The Idea of Open Borders in a Complex Society
DESCRIPTION:Join Christian Leuprecht, Class of 1965 Professor in Leadership, Department of Political Science, Royal Military College, as we unravel the complexities surrounding open borders and discuss strategies for effective border management that extend far beyond physical boundaries.\n\nIn today’s interconnected world, the concept of open borders poses a complex security dilemma. While open borders promote freedom of movement and economic prosperity, they also can present significant challenges in terms of security and management. Contrary to common belief, securing open borders does not happen at the physical border itself; rather, it necessitates a comprehensive approach that starts well beyond the border.\n\nFollowing the discussion, stay to network with members of the London and Huron communities at a reception hosted by the Canadian Club of London.\nHuron Faculty, Staff and Students are invited to attend, free of charge! \nDoors open at 5:00pm – Theatre – Frank Holmes Centre\nEvent: 5:30-6:30pm\nReception: 6:30-7:30pm – Medline Student Commons\nCost: $FREE$\nRegister Here!
